  Last Summers Tournament Schedule (2011)

Please read thru all information on this page prior to clicking on "Log In" below

Traveling Program

LAYSA summer soccer is a program designed to be fun, skill building and competitive. Our format is tournament play and youths of many skill levels play and compete in our program. We field teams where everyone plays and can improve their skills. Teams typically play in 3 - 4 weekend tournaments each summer. Most tournaments are in June and July though some teams will attend a tournament in May

LAYSA offers a travel team program for 8-17 year olds. Teams practice 1 – 3 times per week starting in April and running thru mid-July. 8 year olds may be allowed to play on a case by case situation. Registering your 8 year old now does not guarantee they will be placed on a team. You will be notified by early April if your 8 year old will be placed on a team.

Traveling fees include:

  • State and National Soccer Association dues
  • Registration fees for the 4 scheduled tournaments
  • Administration costs.
  • Coaching fees.

The age of your player on July 31st of the season of play is used to determine what age group they fall into. For summer soccer, if your child is 11 on next July 31, 2012 then they would be registered in the U09 - U11 age group.

LAYSA Goals for Travel Program

1. To have kids thoroughly enjoy soccer. Teach the principles of soccer excellence, sportsmanship, athletic skills, team spirit, character and social interaction.

2. To create the best possible environment to play and advance in the sport of soccer.

3. To create skill compatible teams that can compete outside of our community in games and tournaments.

Family Volunteer Hours Required
Each family must volunteer for one event (approximately 8 hours) per year, per player with a family maximum of two events (approximately 16 hours) per year. There are a variety of events in which you may volunteer, some of which are equal to 1/2 of an event or 1/4 of an event. Each volunteer event will be valued prior to event sign-up.

Volunteer hours are to be filled by parents, guardians or other adults on behalf of the player, as well as youth volunteers that meet specific age requirements. Younger youth may participate in certain volunteer events, if accompanied by an adult.

When you sign up for the volunteer hours you are committed to working those hours. If you are unable to fulfill the commitment, please find a replacement and notify the volunteer coordinator. To verify your family's hours, please check with Theri Wasniewski.
